The franchising industry has changed peoples lives.
Franchisees are people who have followed the successful path of other #entrepreneurs and have helped to create household brands that stretch the globe.
However, each franchisee is a local business person in their own right, supporting their local communities and creating a future for themselves and their families regardless of the brand.
Supporting these business people with industry standards is something that Pip Wilkins, Chief Executive of The British Franchise Association is extremely passionate about as we hear in this latest episode of #TheDisenfranchised.
We also discuss;
- Who franchising is for
- Courses that are available to learn about the industry
- What to research when considering buying a franchise
- Why knowing the financials is essential
- Why Pip has worked for the BFA for over 20 years!
- And much, much more
Pip Wilkins is the Chief Executive of the British Franchise Association (bfa). With more than 20 years’ experience in the franchise sector, Pip has worked her way up within the Association, gaining insight from all areas of the business and the franchise industry. She is well-known and highly regarded in franchising for her dedication and depth of knowledge.

Would you believe us if we said that there was a way to set up a business and earn money quickly?
Well, you shouldn't!
Even if you're buying into someone else's proven business model where they give you tools, support and guidance, there is no guarantee of success.
You will still need to be prepared financially, especially during the first year and be prepared to work hard to make the business work yourself.
Your working hours will also change and so will need to manage your efforts efficiently.
In this episode we talk with Rebecca Newenham, Founder and Franchisor of virtual agency Get Ahead VA, about both of these topics as well as
- How commuting can impact your health
- How to work from home effectively
- Networking and how it's changed since COVID
- What a Virtual Assistant/Agency actually does
- Rebecca's penchant for leopard print and much, much more!
